Alcorn State Gets Win Over Jackson State, 57-46

On February 4th in Jackson the Tigers lost to the Braves in SWAC play, 57-46.

A note about the matchup: The Tigers had lost to the Braves earlier this season, 63-60.

Alcorn State controlled the game maintaining a statistical advantage in assists and free throw shooting.

The Braves nailed 71% of their free throws as opposed to 50% for the Tigers. Alcorn State shared the ball and registered 14 assists to eight for Jackson State.

Kelsey Howard was the leading scorer against the Braves with 14 points on 38% shooting in 30 minutes. Derrell Taylor chipped in with a game-leading 11 rebounds.
